About us

It started with the restoration of Fernie’s 1908 schoolhouse, a former place of education for many locals, who attended this high school between the dates of 1909 – 1998.   A $30 million dollar restoration of this property transformed the grounds into luxury residences, vacation rentals and a commercial space fit for a spa; the once run down building was rejuvenated into a place of retreat and relaxation for locals and visitors, within the beautiful town of Fernie, BC…

We invite you to enjoy a relaxing soak in our outdoor pool.  Our outdoor pool is available to guests (age 16+) by reservation only. Access to the pool can be reserved with your appointment (complimentary if you spend $130+ per person), or you can book a soak without a scheduled treatment.  Online booking available.

We visited with a group of four gals for a birthday. Booking was smooth, and each girl raved about the exceptional services! We had facials, massages and scrubs and relaxed in the outdoor pool before our treatments. The Spa is extremely clean, with a serene atmosphere. I personally loved the music and the smell of the Japanese mint oil which was used during my Hot Stone Massage. We loved every minute of our time there. The staff is all amazing! We'll be going monthly now :),

Went last week for a facial and hour in their hot pool. This place has a super friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere and all the proper things you’d want to see. Nice robes showers lockers and the treatment was lovely.

I've seen Dr. Robert Krushel twice now for Botox and he is absolutely phenomenal. Fernie was definitely lacking a qualified injector so I'm extremely happy when I found out 901 Spa brought him onboard. He is very quick, to the point and professional. I will most definitely be a returning customer.

WHAT A TREAT! We loved and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Spa 901 the other day. We booked a couple's massage and both therapists were lovely, attentive and did a great job. The massage room was nice and warm, the beds were super comfy. We also spent almost an hour in the outdoor hot pool, amazing! Looking forward to visiting again in the future.
